SAFETY
As this time of the year rolls around, Windber officials sponsor their annual safety campaign in which they ask the citizens to participate. The Windber officials have spent much more time and money than ever before to make this. the best campaign and to make Windber America's safest city. AtAng the most important group of citizens are the students of Windber High School. You can help this campaign by obeying the speed laws, walking on the sidewalk instead of the roads, and by crossing on the white lines. These are only a few of the rules for safety which we must obey every day if we wish to become one of the best citizens of our town.

YOUR CANTEEN
The Windber Teen Canteen was created and can be destroyed by you students of Windber High. We are very lucky in having a place to go in the evenings to relax.
Lately the Canteen has been having a very good attendance, especially Saturday nights. But what will become of it, after the football season is over? Its up to you kids to make your Canteen a stronger and more profitable organization.
Your Canteen has a lot to offer you, for instance the ping pong room with the new pin ball machines, and then we are very happy to have a new couch in our television room. The bar and new stove help provide refreshments after games.
Memberships can still be obtained. The price of a membership is only 75c a year. A membership entitles a person to pay less to enter the Canteen during the week days and Saturdays.
So let's show the citizens of Windber that we are willing to fight for our Canteen by attending during the week-days.

Record Rack

Well, kids, here we are again with another brand new collection of songs. To start, there are a couple of songs in the No. 1 position. "To Be Alone" and "Love Walked In With You" by the Hilltoppers are both riding high; "Rags To Riches" by Tony Bennett is still very popular.
For the kids that dig that crazy down beat music there are "Cow, Cow Blues," "Peter Piper Boogie" and "Istanbul." "Ricochet Romance" by Treasa Brewer is also riding high.
We dedicate "P. S. I Love You" by the Hilltoppers to Helen Potts and Bob McCuch. For Eleanor Voytko and Ben Davis, Eddie Fisher sings "Just To Be With You." "Ebb Tides" by Vic Darnone also is very popular. "From Here To Eternity" by Frank Sinatra for Mary Ann Blasko and Ducky Pruchnic.
Jo Stafford came up with a lovely new ballad "Not I." "My Love, My Love" sung by Joni James is for Duky Mandel and Marsha Weaver. For Kathleen White and Ernie Kolonich there's "Ask Me" by Don Cornell.
One of the most beautifully haunting refrains is Sarah Vaughn's "Time." Johnny Ray hits up a new rhythm beat with "Please Don't Talk About Me When I'm Gone."
For Beverly Steely and Jake Sombronski there's "You're Fooling Someone." "You Alone" sung by Perry Como and "Amora" by Dean Martin are two songs really hitting it off good. By the great Mr. Frankie Laine are two songs really expected to be hits: "Blowing Wild" and "Answer Me, Lord Above."
Nat King Cole sings two really hep tuners, "Linger Awhile" and "Lover Come Back To Me."

"Dum da da dum, da!" Don't be alarmed, that's just Windber High School's two disc jockeys, Bill Dusack and Steve Benko signing on.
